The HeadPop Experiments
The Head Pop Experiments is an experiment in podcasting from Byron Clark, Alex Wisternoff, Briar Parkin and a variety of other contributers. Drawing on the creative commons and the public domain the episodes are soundscapes mixing ambient and psychedelic music with snipits of interesting conversation.

This episode was thrown together around a loose theme of 2012 (the predicted 'end of the world' in some circles) and features music from Emissary, Digi Hartatak and The Silence industry, and some audio from Breuer Unleashed.

For a while I'd been thinking about doing a heavy metal episode, showcasing some of the great heavy metal that is out there under free licenses. While most of the episodes have an ambient/psychedelic/techno feel, I'm still a bogan at heart.

Heres the playlist:
Pop Machine - Corporate Heavy Metal
Leechmaster - Hellish Dreams
The Ray Gun Girls - Can't Die Now
Throne of Blood - Men of Clay

The music in the background when I'm speaking is  Heavy Bed Rock by Seraphic Panopoly.

The first overtly political episode of the Head Pop Experiments, made after the US announced it will, eventually, leave Iraq.

The episode has a bit of a hip-hop feel and features music by Burnt, Digi Hartatak and Edward Star. It also samples clips from Democracy Now, Our Media and the documentary Iraq for Sale.

Slightly different from our usual material, this episode pays tribute to one of my favourite shows, Mike Hagan's Radio Orbit which ceased broadcast a few weeks before I made this episode, which features clips from that show.

Also includes music from John Maxwell Hobbs, American Box, and Bob Maus.
